The design of this front walkway and garden was influenced by the architecture of this Shaker Hts. home. The sandstone walkway was re-configured to weave it’s way to the front door. By doing so, the walkway lends itself to a garden that offers many vantage points of interest. A formal flair is achieved with a pair of sandstone pillars and Boxwood hedge. Afternoon sunlight highlights a variety of plant material from Boursault Rhododendron, Star Magnolia, Walker’s Low Catmint to Lady’s Mantle. Appropriately placed to balance the weight of the pillars, an old carved stone trough is filled with the colorful annuals.
